Queensland Treasury Corporation assists Queensland's public sector organisations in finding the best funding solutions for their needs, as well as minimise their risks in financial transactions.
Currently QTC funds 99% of the State's public sector borrowings by raising funds in both the domestic and international markets through issuing a variety of debt instruments.
While the bulk of its funds are raised through the sale of benchmark bonds to wholesale investors (institutional or large private investors), Australian resident small individual investors can purchase QTC Queensland bonds from a minimum of $5,000 through the QTC Registry, Computershare Investor Service Pty Ltd in Melbourne.
As well, QTC Queensland bonds are sold to individual overseas investors seeking to migrate to Australia through the General Skilled Migration and Business Skills Migration programs. Read more about Designated Investments.
